Three Wilson students performed at the annual Journalism Educator’s Association conference this past weekend in Boston. Mass Media teacher Kadesha Bonds, won the McCormick Grant through JEA that gave Bond’s $1,000 to take a team of her top students to Boston to shoot a two minute public service announcement answering the question: “How are teens portrayed in the media?”. Bonds was required to submit some of her students previous material and a short essay about why she wanted to participate in the conference in order to apply for the grant. The team, consisting of Seniors Alicia Oluhara and Eboni Ellis and Sophomore Carl Stewart landed Thursday, November 14, and received their assignments. Friday, November 15, they recorded interviews and began to edit.
